22nd August 2020 - 'Twas a Dark and Stormy Night

Thought for the day :"Dyslexics are teople poo"

AS the day dawned it was still wet and windy - but a little more settled.
Another day at Ffynnon Wen. Seems that the name change may have gone forward as admiral Insurance first found Bluebell Cottage on their lists and could not complete as Ffynnon wen was then on their database. We shall see ....

But we are insured as a house and contents at the new address.

Cleared the duck pond early and brought the trellis back up to for a wall of the Machine Shed.
The 41 girls seem to be settling in well though Snowball and Dusty - the Ffynnon Chicks seems to have their nose put out and are brooding.

Family popped in for a barbecue this afternoon / evening. Drop of rain - but did not spoil the fun. Not sure if I need to eat for a week. Brought out the abandoned barbecue from under the awning. I am sure that it was left as it was past its useful date - it is an old oil barrel cut into 3/4 with some adaptation and the bottom was completely out of it  - but with some pieces of metal we made it work and it was excellent ...

And of course a firepit for the evening.

Now.. Who would wear wellies like these ?

Meanwhile Susie starts painting the next bedside table...

All in all a good day ...

Cheers !
