30th August 2020 - More Paths, Clearing and roofing...

Thought for the day:"When my wife isn't looking l like switching the wrappers on chocolate bars... She hates getting her snickers in a twix."

Sunday and the sun came out again - this is really a heat trap in the sun - though as the sun set this evening the temperature is dropping very quickly. We had to have the fire on in the sitting room last night and thought the temperature is holding so far - not sure what will happen later.

In first news - seems that i sold a CD on Bandcamp a few weeks ago - but cannot see that I mentioned it on the blog - so here we go...
Not a lot - but this was a set of 12 funny songs from the shut-down serenades with no additional mixing. Was not really expecting to get anything - so anything is something - will have to do the rest of the 86 songs sometime.

There was a picture a few years ago that confused many people. It was a bout a dress that was either grey or gold... This is almost as confusing - is it a bird or a goat?

In politics - a couple of texts came to my mind which I thought I would share...

I leave it to you to consider in the light of current politicians...

But, back to the gardens... Susie has been clearing again and found another path or two down with the fruit beds...

May be gooseberries in here

Golden Raspberry

We decided that we might try to test the water in the spring...

Off with a jug to get a sample..

Main spring is clear as anything

This is the drinking Spring..

Protected by Pan

Good old Victor - the pump

Extension arm for the pump

Getting a sample..

Sadly - not very clear - we will leave it a few days and try again...

The test is quite expensive so we will wait until the water clears. We are wondering if the digging in the field above us is affecting the spring water - or maybe just the amount of rain that has been falling...

And so I started on the gutters at the back...  had to clear the barbecue corridor...

Then started on the Machine Shed (to be).. Roof leaking and I am not surprised. It was quite a Heath Robinson set up ..

And finally ...
We have a new resident in the stump...

Which is a bout enough for one day - though my arms are torn to shreds from clearing the climbing rose from the roof over the machine shed...

Cheers !
