Monday - bit if a drizzle but a busy work day ...

Started with a trip to give washing to Vic - so a late start of on the daily work. Susie a bit brighter today as the antibiotics seem to be working though still with head-aches...

My main task was to continue the start on clearing the tavern so that I can empty the Trailer and take a trip to Llanelli - already offered to deliver the sewing machine to Cardigan and need some other items and also need to check whether the house is flooding again through the back door...

But - first pictures for start and finish from yesterday and today ....

Ffynnon Wen in the Winter Sunshine

Pan's Spring and the site of the trail camera

View back up to the house in Winter

No leaves on the trees

Ducks and Chickens in the bright

From the top path

Susie's Fruit beds

The Paddock

Autumn / Winter colours

Veranda now clear of foliage

need to prune the climbing rose

and a look down the garden

And so some before and after pictures.. this is the Beer Garden as I started clearing...

View from the Road - after

Back area cleared
ready to start on the Tavern Shed...

And so we look at the Tavern before clearing..

I know that the Tavern is full of boxes but this is the area that I want to store everything as we sort it and hopefully to free the warehouse

Susie's Workshop is going to get worse before it gets better as everything useful form the tavern has to go in here

But this is how we start..
End of day One - and the left hand side is cleared...

Sadly, the right hand side is just as bad as before -
that is where we started today.

And at the end of the day...
Someone seems to have left a guitar

Left hand side clear - will examine that water stain..

Right hand side clear

Looking back to the door

And clear..

Of course, with Christmas coming we decided that it would be prudent to order another load of wood to make sure that we don't run out - we are going through wood quite quickly - but we are staying warm !!!
No hurry I say - it is for Christmas. Later we get a phone call saying they have had a cancellation and can they deliver today as it is already on the wagon and they would have to unload otherwise - so we get the load delivered to day and put into the tunnel ...  Messes my plans for emptying the trailer - but 5 barrel loads go into the house wood store and there is a passage to get through so I can unload in the morning and still make a Llanelli trip... Could be a long day tomorrow as well !!

That is £189 of wood - still haven't worked out how long it will last...

And so we get to see the Outer Tavern for the first time..

In other news - this picture popped up on my feed today - I love singing for the youngsters
This song caused a lot if hilarity as I recall - "The Crisps in the mouth go crunch crunch crunch!"

And a quick change of Profile Picture - back to Black Company Banquets ...

Cheers

29th November 2020 - Just an Ent Face

Thought for the day :"My mate Dave is a property developer, he refuses to use teabags."

Sunday and a bright Sunny Day... Susie a little better and antibiotics seem to be working. Picked up a sty on my left eyelid so working blind today ... but a day for clearing the Tavern area to unload the trailer.

But Susie managed to place her Tree Ent on the telegraph Pole - A nice touch - a bird feeder and friendly face

So, it has got very late (or early) so will finish with this - a winter shot..

Cheers

Susie not well again today - so off to NC Emlyn for antibiotics first thing - though in fairness she got up and let the girlies out while I was still asleep.
Spent most of the day in bed - but was able to eat some roast chicken and chips this evening...  full roast tomorrow. One of our bred chickens and it tasted yummy.

I spent most of the day in the Machine Shed with finishing touches and continued with the rose bed walls. Should finish tomorrow. Hoped to get the trailer emptied today but failed in that one - will have to do the next trip to Llanelli on Monday.

Built the log splitter into the shed - with shelves and catch areas ro the logs
No More bending down to pick up logs!

Fits between the mower and the splitter

Wall of tools - all sorted

Log Splitting

The Machine Shed - now with electrics and lights

Next job - to clear the sheds ,,, The Before Pictures...

the machines have gone - but lots of rubbish still in place

More work tomorrow and also need to empty the trailer ...

In other news - after Susie buying a friendly face for the telegraph pole yesterday (no she was not well enough to fix it in place) my own little bit of folly arrived - my worm hole for the Tavern floor..

and of course 'Thena decided to cross the space time continuum

Cheers !
