12th November 2020 - Duffy the Root Slayer

Thought for the day:"Whoever termed the term ‘emotional baggage’ missed an opportunity – should have been Griefcase!"

Sitting here this evening trying to remember what we have done today..
Okay we got the shopping list from Vic and called to Newcastle Emlyn for his shopping and spent another £100 on wood for the sheds and hinges for the doors...

Went to Llangrannog to walk the dog - neglected to check if the tide was in or out - so we had to walk up and down 6 times as there was only a few yards available...

there is a rainbow here if you look closely

'Thena was not very impressed - but enjoyed a walk.

Susie had her new toy - a root slayer - she called it Duffy! Duffy the Root Slayer.. in every Generation..

Now, we have a friend Alden who is carving us a new house dragon - but in the meantime we felt that Idris 2 should take guard until Idris 3 arrives - so I spent part of the day making a plinth for the milk churn and finding a metal drill bit that could go through the churn to secure the plinth and then finding a way to glue and fix the dragon to the plinth.. and finally in setting him in place...

Don't think anyone can move him now ... but all removable when we get the Carved version - unless we find a better place...

Still looking forward to the new carving - but at least the house is protected now..

Susie did some further excavation and found that the pipe we found yesterday does indeed go across the path and then has a turn halfway up the hill so looks as though it heads back to the water taps at the top of the Orchard area... Started raining again so more exploration tomorrow ...

So, another day done - a few things completed but not much really ...

Cheers !
