15th November 2020 - Keeping the Spirits up and Killing Zones

Thought for the day:"Did you hear about the great Duct Tape Heist? No one knows how they pulled it off."

LINK JOHNS HOPKINS
Office of National Statistics

Not looking good today - for a Sunday which is normally under-reported
1333 cases and 16 deaths... no area breakdown today ....

Another mixed day - rain and sunshine and of course the occasional rainbow... Not clear but it is there

In other news the Hand sanitiser is being developed to new stages..

The Full Range
Raw | Juniper | Malt | Classic | Raki | Scnappfel

Raki - yup - That works

In other news - started a pulp paper brick project  - pulping paper with sawdust - will be putting into a press and seeing if they burn !! Paper on Right - Pulp crate on left ..

And the Eating Chickies are getting to be 10 weeks old and they are eating so much that they are getting very heavy - time to Cull. So we need an area to boil up the water in the big pans to scald them for plucking - not going to work on the induction hubs in the kitchen - so the old "Fockers" come back into play. These are the burners that have been used over the last 18 years to cook for the Wolves Kitchen and we needed a place outside - but sheltered enough to be effective...  My task for the day !
First candidate in isolation tonight.

Cleared the area ready for new set up.

A bit of protection against the elements - but burners all ready

and a work area for plucking and dressing...

Gutter still leaking
Wheel Clamp not arrived - apology from Amazon
May have fixed one leak on the machine shed roof - Box girder roofing is rusted and broken at the end so have put some plastic sheet to see if it will catch the excess water ...
Did some log cutting of old wet wood for future drying
Chopped some branches off another tree and have used it to start a woven fence on the roadway.
Walked 'Thena around the local bridge walk through the village. Just got back before the skies opened again.
Susie pruned more of the Kiwi Fruit.
Also cleared the ivy off the Fruit trellis.
Decided that the inspection hatch is probably only a stop cock to turn off the water to the taps .. but have not managed to clear the last screw yet.
Ordered the Water-proof spray and a set of Screw removal drill bits today - oh and a vortex carpet for the tavern - a bit of a laugh...

Happy Sunday ..
 Cheers !
