17th November 2020 - Chickens and Sheds

Thought for the day :"Thought my money worries were over when I married. Turns out I misheard. Actually she makes hats!"

Morning started sadly - Susie went down to the Chickens and found one of the Llanelli Girlies dead for no reason. Close examination shows that there were no marks or signs of distress. Just died in the night. Research shows that Chicken Sudden Death Syndrome is quite common - but we will keep an eye on it.
Bought some serious disinfectant in case anything worse happens.

Meanwhile, today I got the big guns out and started int he doors and back panel for the machinery shed.
Had to learn how to use this toy..

Think I have grasped it...

And so the rear doorway starts to take shape. Got one door hung but gaps eat that it had to come off again and a bit of chiseling to get the hinge properly inset into the post...

First of the Chickens ready for the oven - 5lb 4oz
Not Bad size....

Seem to have some damp in the corner of the spare bedroom. Put the fire on to see if it helps. It has been VERY wet...
Took Vic his shopping back today - he wasn't up but they are allowing home visits again so arranged to pick him up on Friday morning, to come over for lunch. Will be only the second time out of his flat since moving in ...

Not much else happening - Chris & Vicky join us for an overnight stop tomorrow.
Cheers !
