9th November 2020 - Planting Trees ...

Thought for the day :"I think I am suffering from xenophobia. Bet I caught it from some foreigner!"

Sitting here this evening wondering what we achieved today!

Up early and a quick trip to Llanybydder to take Vic his washing, and found that his electricity is not yet registered to him, so a few phone calls and it appears I can sort it all out by email...

Up to Brynhoffant to get some baking items and had the neighbours in for a post shut-down socially distanced tea and scones.

Enjoyed the chat - Johnny (the Tree apparently - as he has spent the last 35 years planting trees across the county and probably further afield) now Johnny Felin Ganol, owns a Larch plantation just up the road from where we are and spends much of his day planting acorns from his garden into the plantation. The idea being that in about 25 years the Larch will be gone and there should then be an Oak forest on the same land - that is planning for the future! He does not expect to see the result of his labours...

In a similar fashion - Susie is potting the ash saplings that we have across our land - on the principle that we can offer saplings to those who lose their ash to Ash Die Back and keep the trees healthy. I think both plans are a sign for the future ...

Managed to finally plough through the mass of account books and paperwork that has stacked up since we moved - at least I have a fairly clear in tray for a change....

In other news - saw this rather fine piece of Trumpery ...

Bohemian Rhapsody

Sadly this one has been removed so will try this one instead..

And so - with that - I wish you well

Cheers !
