14th August 2020 - And a lazy day ...

Thought for the day:" I have Goldfish called Major, Minor, Dorian, Lydianand Diminished - the only way I can tell them apart is by their scales"

Lazy day .. well sort of!.

Managed to lower the duck pond to a height that they can recognise that it is a pond and use it.
Fixed the large water drink dispenser for the Peacocks...
Built a perch ladder for the chickens to get back into the chicken enclosure and another to let them get out easily in to the paddock.
Paperwork - Housing Benefit for Vic... Assessment for social care payment..
Cut the box hedging at the front of the house and tidied up the plants there - taking out the cotoneaster which seems to be taking over everywhere.

Put some pictures up in the living room..
Varnished the fairy door that was made by my Grand Daughter Freja ..

And yes - it is a Green One!

Made a small shelf for the radios and telephones and the USB autocharger..  Not finished yet as using dowel for a fixing mechanism to allow it to be easily removed to take out the wires.

And watched Susie as she made progress into her Rose Bed...

Early evening we had visitors from the next house down, the Old Mill and bungalow.. Spot and Charlie, who arrived with masks and a bottle of sparkling wine and a welcome to the Community Card.

A lovely touch so we invited them to a socially distanced glass of wine (and then Bubbly) on the veranda and learned a little more about each other.

So, it seems we have moved next door to someone building a new recording studio !!!
Also manage a number of holiday homes - some theirs but most for other people, have a small art gallery in Llangrannog, keep geese, chickens and guinea fowl and comes from London based TV, arts and Theatre background... Seems we were very much at home .....
