8 Million cases, a quarter of them in the USA. UK hits 42,000 deaths. USA 112,000 deaths. Beijing locks down on a second wave found in an open food market. England opens the shops and people queue for hours to get into Primark. Final admission that Covid affects BAME to higher affect, something that has been clear for months now just looking at those listed as passing away. A cheap steroid saves a high percentage of people on ventilator or oxygen. Lasting affects of the virus on lungs is made known.
Trump tweets that if USA stopped testing then the numbers would go down. UK starts panicking about Brexit again, thought we had done with that one. Stopped watching late news.
In other news, a full list of enquiries from the buyer's solicitors this morning, mainly about who owns what hedges and whether the central heating has been serviced. Shall look at that today...

Yes, the original Radio Times announcement for the new Doctor Who Series.... 23rd November 1963.
The first episode was overshadowed by the assassination of John F Kennedy the day before so was repeated the next Saturday. I watched both episodes. Unlike most people who have always claimed that they knew where they were on the death of the President, I had little interest in those days, and remember the date in more recent years in reference to Doctor Who. But then again I was only 9.
And on to Shut-down Serenade no 54 - The Voyage to Vinland. An account of the trip the Vikings took to discover Vinland - or North America as we call it.
