Thought for the day :"I know a plane company that only flies backwards. It’s called Receding Airlines."
Llanelli today for a final clean on No 41. Sadly the job was bigger than a single day could allow. Susie did sterling work and has cleared and cleaned and hoovered two floors and is down to the last set of stairs. Ground floor and basement still to be done.
Meanwhile I was in the garden. Bought a new strimmer as we are still waiting for the brush cutter to come back (hopefully) from the repair shop. Had not realised how much some of these garden equipment costs !! Looked at a fine cordless strimmer and brush cutter. Was a bit expensive at £270 but a good make.. Was tempted until I realised that the battery and the charger would set me back another £180...
So ended up with a Bosch wired strimmer as we have discovered that we can reach most of the lawn and pathways with the extension leads. And it cost £64 instead.
Also had to fork out for two tyres for the car - but luckily they came in at £60 each so not too bad...
But feels better to be legal and safe again.
But it worked well at No 41...

Oh well - it will not be for much longer (we hope)
In other news, took a spin passed my mother's old flat at Plas y Mor and found that her view over the fields has been blighted by the building of a series of about 30 pre-fab style houses. Hideous.
and so glad that this did not happen while she was there. She loved looking out towards the Church and before she lost her mobility, would sit on the balcony..
Difficult to get the right view - but these give an idea,

Weather turned cold again tonight - and though it is June - we decided to light the fire in the kitchen while we ate. It had been a long day so we broke open a couple of Wiltshire Farm Foods - 20 minutes in the microwave - I cooked !!!
