14th June 2021 - Escaping Dog !! and Fish for Dinner

Thought for the day :"I asked my solicitor if she was for or against the lead singer of U2 receiving free advice? She said she was pro Bono....."

 Had a short lie in this morning.

Dry day but overcast with sun later.

First task was to Dog proof the river area to stop 'Thena escaping into the Romany Caravan area and strolling up the lane. Spend time putting chicken wire all along the pontoon area.
Susie put a flooring down in the Eating Chicken coop in the form of tiles and bricks to keep the rats out while they are young and growing. Task tomorrow is to wire the Chicken Pen for them as they are now getting too big for the run in the shed.

Shut 'Thena outside the gate while we checked the coop and when we came back she had managed to do a runner!!

Searched the grounds and the Paddock and in the end walked up the lane to the Kissing Gate and Felin Ganol next door to find her happily taking herself for a walk through the woods. 
Think she decided to jump into the river at the Wizard's Retreat !!  Will have to look again at my fencing skills !!

And so I decided on a beer and Susie went for a fish on the pontoon.
That caused a problem for the dog - so she decided to sit on the Rose Garden Level which was in the middle between me on the Veranda and Susie on the Pontoon!

And Susie managed to catch two fish large enough for the freezer - starters for dinner later this week 

Didn't empty the trailer - have to do that tomorrow, also finish fencing the chicken in, as we are losing too many eggs behind the hedges, wire the chicken pen, create a tunnel for them to come out and secure the corners against rats.  Oh and try to find where 'Thena is getting out !

Each day has its various tasks - the Forth Bridge comes to mind!!
