Thought for the day :"I hear resurrection is making a come back."
So.. an interesting 24 hours..
Yesterday I posted that the house was going onto the web and market late Thursday and indeed I found the Zoopla and John Francis Links and copied them to the blog...
Later in the evening - about 11pm an email popped apparently from the husband of a close friends grand daughter, asking about the house and saying that he was interested... Well a few more emails were passed and it was too late to phone so it was agreed that I would call him this morning which I duly did at about 9am. Upshot was that he would like to look at the property as his wife liked the house from the old days and it may be what he was looking for ... So I agreed to pop back to Llanelli for about 12.30pm ...
I did a few google checks and this morning checked with my friends who confirmed that he was who he said he was and advised that he bought and sold properties and had a number of projects on the go so I decided to see what would happen...
Met him and showed his around and also pointed out the various things about the house - why there was damp where there was - what had been fixed and what might be needed...
Seems he liked the house - not only as a project but also as a possibility for him to move into as it was the right size for his family and convenient ... He seemed satisfied that there were no structural problems and that it was a reasonable buy ..
So he said that he was happy to purchase and pay the asking price...
No Shaking hands is not done much these days of Covid - but based upon the fact that the house had not been on the market more than 18 hours and he wanted to purchase at the asking price - it seemed reasonable to shake on the deal and contact the solicitors and cancel the estate agent ...
And so .. It seems we have sold a house - another 8 weeks or so to get through all the paperwork .. but fingers crossed .. and the John Francis sign is being taken down again ..
In other news, the babies have moved into their outside pen and seem to be very happy with the extra space ..
