Thought for the day :" How does the man in the moon cut his hair? Eclipse it..."
A long day but it has been fun. After 17 months of isolation and so many changes in life style and circumstance, today we were invaded by Côr Curiad Ladies Choir, carrying their chairs and food and booze though in fairness we had a sufficiency of each of those already here ...
The day started dry enough to cut the lawn, and strim the edges. Found the tables and finally discovered the third set of table legs, table cloths and some additional glasses. Dragged a few bags of garden waste to Gully Foyle. Found additional chairs (though to be honest found the last folding chairs after everyone had left!)
But we were ready ahead of the 3.30pm planned arrival. Susie had cooked a gluten free victoria sponge which was delicious as well as a pile of scones, which we may have to try to finish tomorrow.
We also have a lot of clotted cream left over. Meanwhile when they arrived the food kept on piling up !
