Thought for the day :"My wife said name the Mexican volcano that erupted in 2004? I replied I’ll need a cup of tea to think that one up... Pop a copper kettle on love."
A busy day..
Starting we had to unload the trailer with the remnants of the Bothy and the last trip from Llanelli..
But Susie saw an offer on Marketplace and so we set off to Llanarthne to look at a couple of gates, and ended up buying about 30 concrete slabs, two gates, three 8 ft poles and an unknown length of permeable membrane, all at what seemed to be a decent price..
And so they all had to be unloaded!!
Then a trip to Llanybydder to start clearing Cwm Aur, Vic's sheltered accommodation.
Stopped half way through to visit Vic at Annedd, he was able to come out in a wheelchair and sit in the sun with us for a while. He is very frail and seemed unsure why we were there, though I think he recognised us.. But the wind was cold so we let him go back for a nap ....
It was nice to see him - but sad to see how he has deteriorated ..
On a positive note we have both had our first Lateral Flow Test (negative) so at least know how to do it now...
So, back to Cwm Aur and finished loading the trailer and car - and finally we have emptied the flat and the trailer is full - but it is another stage towards tidying up the loose ends...
Took the fridge/freezer out of the van to empty it - but the rest of the trailer will be there for us tomorrow.
So, a busy and tiring day - Pizza Thursday so no cooking tonight .. and we have a number of Wiltshire Farm Food meals - so we may have a few simple meals in the coming weeks.
So the forget-me-nots are out - I know they are weeds really and should not be on the pathway but they are pretty
