9th April 2021 - Llanelli, Lillies and Verandas

Llanelli trip today. Primarily to get some shelving units for Susie to use in the Green House for her seeds - so she can get some guests into the spare bedroom..  

Sorted through some masonic regalia - gosh I have a lot!!

Dismantled the last set of wardrobes and took most downstairs before deciding that I had done enough for one day. Back to the ranch and Susie has done some excellent work in the poly tunnel area... It was also raining early apparently so she decided to clear the veranda and tidy up. 

Quick walk with 'Thena up the lane and a chat with Johnny ... 

Apparently I have been corrected on my post of the arum Lillies - they are skunk cabbage and an invasive species. We knew that they were invasive and the seed heads have to be removed before the seeds get into the water and flow into the river. Thought we knew that - we thought that they were also called arum lillies - apparently not

[edit: So - Update on the lillies - we were aware that they were invasive and require the seed stem to be removed before they can get into the watercourse - but mistakenly thought they were Arum Lillies - but it appears that they are only called Yellow Skunk Cabbage, American Skunk Cabbage, or Swamp Lantern .. Lysichiton Americanus...

Though we have been corrected - they are of the Arum Family of Lillies - but I thought I would acknowledge the correction ]

So - a couple of other flowers coming into bloom..

And bluebells hiding in among the others..
