23rd April 2021 - Emptying the Trailer ...Again!!!

Thought for the day :"I'm being blackmailed by my memory foam mattress!

Day at the homestead today... Put the hammock up in case that we had some spare time later. Tried it out (of course) and as I had set it much nearer the ground ( it is on a slope so easier to get into) and #Thena thought it was great to have boss at face level!!

Managed to empty much of Vic's Flat furniture - the bits that we wanted, mainly a cabinet, a drinks cupboard and a coffee table - all Neville whatever that is, but all nice items that we think will go well into a cabin in due course - so I have to find somewhere to store them !!  It is a never ending circle at the moment.  Much of the furniture has been left on the trailer as it will have to go to the dump, but I forgot to book again - so it will have to go into the back yard at 41 in the meantime.

Managed to clear a space in the Workshop Tunnel to store the furniture and cleared a lot of the bits of wood and straw from the ground and burnt it in a small firepit. Sorted glassware and bric a brac that may be useful, and discarded others and packed more stuff to take to the re-cycle place in Trostre.

Susie finished her potato bed and planted her potatoes. She also swept more of Tolly's Pond. We should be able to think about sealing it soon. She also hung her new gate for the access to the back of the Chicken run by Wizard's retreat.

I was on the ladder again today. It has been dry enough to look at the leaking gutter on the veranda, with some seal tape and waterproof spray.

Walked the dog up to the Field and back and took the scramble to the lower quarter. Wished I had my phone with me as camera as the bluebells are now all out and are quite a sight to see. Particularly at Felin Ganol but also int he lower quarter.

Think that Fabio finally scored today so we will be hoping for some eggs soon. He has been screeching most of the evening so I think that he is rather pleased with himself. Took some more straw down for him and some ashes so they can have a dust bath...

Had a short walk around the garden and it is nice to see that the colour is coming out now...

Today seemed really like Spring. Short off most of the day while working and very warm.
Think I caught the sun !!

In other news - we have the date for our second vaccination - May 7th

Llanelli Tomorrow.

Cheers ! Happy St George's Day
