9th March 2022 - Wet and Windy

Thought for the day :"If Lawyers are disbarred and Clergy defrocked, then Corpses must be decrypted"

A really rainy day today but struggled out to walk the dogs and found a new route home over the fields...
Dogs enjoyed but we all got a little wet...

Didn't get out to the lower quarter today due to the weather, but Susie managed to clear the chicken run for the new "eaters"  that should be hatching this week.

Popped down to Newcastle Emlyn to pickup a Ventolin to see if it helps on the breathing. Of course did not come back on my usual route from the walk so do not know if it helps yet.

Bought the wooden posts for the Yurt Platform - and ordered the aggregate and cement. They are down to one lorry at the moment so not guaranteeing that they can deliver in the time scale. Fingers crossed for Monday.

Done some calculations on the wood requirements for the platform and it is going to be an expensive item!!  Ho Hum.

Coal should arrive tomorrow - will be our second delivery for the year - the first ton having lasted through until this week. We are currently on our second delivery of Wood for the wood fire. Calculations for this year are £360 per ton for the coal briquettes and £160 a load of wood (approx 1 ton).
Electricity prices are now going up by almost 100% - luckily we are on fixed rate until June 2023.

However fuel prices are rocketing - all due to a mix of war in Ukraine, and life in general!

In other news - saw this report from Ireland and had to chuckle...

and other places are doing what they can to support ion the day that Russia attacked a maternity hospital during a ceasefire...

Albania renames Embassy Street as Free Ukraine Street

And so - another day passes
Cheers !
