2nd March 2022 - Wet and Windy

A wet and miserable day today and a little chilly, but put the waterproofs on and faced the damp and took the dogs up to the donkey path ...  and brought them back very wet. A couple of trips up to Brynhoffnant, once to get some milk and meat for home made pasties and once to go back and get some gluten free plain flour without which we could not have the pastry for the pasties..

No photographs today as there was not much to take a photograph of - though the compost bags for the strawberry beds arrived - the DHL driver was struggling as there were two bags to a cardboard box and there were five boxes!!!

Decided to change the end posts at the nearside so that we can string a rope along the length in the middle to put netting over - and that should keep the birds off. Susie bought some more copped tape to put around the legs to stop the slugs - and then we should have a good crop this year - fingers crossed.

Studies a bit more on the OBS streaming software - but have not found how to change the canvas size yet - which is why i get a square picture in the centre of the stream rather than a proper picture... Will keep struggling.

In other news it was pancake day yesterday but we decided to postpone it to this morning with pancakes for breakfast. Yum!!

Day seven of the war in Ukraine and the capital and main cities have not fallen yet - but more areas of the country are under Russian Control.  Sad times.  

But though Russians are not being shown the story so we are told, but have the Russian News and TV restricted (we are told) there are stories like this one popping out from Ukraine - a number of versions - this is one of them - and if true it is an ideal method of passing news back to Russia. Other stories tell of new recruits texting their family to say that they are in Ukraine - they thought they were just on manoeuvres, and are telling their families what is happening...  One way to win a propaganda war....

Another story tells that Elon Musk has given (sold?) Ukraine the hardware to get internet from the Sky Train so that it cannot be blocked by other means - not verified but makes sense. Meanwhile Sporting fixtures and high profile events are being blocked. Not sure how much that is hurting Putin. We shall see.

And with that - another day looms ...
