11th August 2021 - 48th Wedding Anniversary

Thought for the day :"Do songbirds get annoyed with hummingbirds because they refuse to learn the words?"

Today we celebrate 48 years of Marriage, which does not have a traditional name though apparently the "modern" celebration is "optical"...  

and this was a cover photo from 43 years ..

So we celebrated and went to get my meds from Newcastel Emlyn, and Susie bought some glass paints so she can paint some trees on mirror doors in the Tavern. Also bought some plants - and why not!!

Trip to Llanybydder to see Vic who was delighted to see us - he is putting weight on and seems happy though he did say that he gets a little lonely - this would be for family I think as he has many people looking after him and the other residents... 

Rained again today, no surprise there really - it is August in Wales and the rest of the world is bunring up in heatwaves... 

But I took some time out this morning to level up more of the stage area and put down another two pallets - 

Getting there. Also made a hedgehog box to try to dissuade 'Thena from tipping the boxes over to get to the cat food, with a flap to put the food into the box  - not working so far - will have to try the next version tomorrow with a base on it so it can't be dug out !!

Two new Peacock chicks are now out in the workshed in the brooder box - the other two are a little put out that they cannot get back in again  and have to share a turned over box instead....

Joy from Moilyn Farm popped int his morning with some fresh field mushrooms from her fields 

We have some lovely neighbours 

Bunnie has arrived in the country with Scarlett and is staying with Nancy for a couple of days - not sure who is more excited Bunnie or Susie - but at least we had our Lateral Flow tests today and proved negative so we are clear for a visit...
