2nd October 2020 - New Toys

Thought for the day :"14 day quarantine returning from Iceland – anyone know if it is the same from Farmfoods?"

A wet and windy day with Storm Alex heading in from the North. Small break in the weather but sadly not at the time that the Chippings arrived and the Builders kindly took the mixed ballast back.

But new toys arrived today ...

Bosch cordless 18v chainsaw. Useful for small branches and firewood

But managed to get the house firewood store tidied up a bit

I can see the floor again  - which is a bonus

Tried to capture the evening outside the house - not really working at the moment

But Susie has been busy as well, wine on the go, apple wine on the go and the "wash" for the Hand sanitiser...  All in the laundry which I have to admit smells rather good at the moment.

Failed to empty the trailer today - but managed to go and see Vic, and take his shopping and get his laundry. Despite the rules they let him come out with the trolley to have a short chat. Sadly, it seem he managed to have a fall int eh kitchen and has hurt his back - but Doctor has prescribed Cocodomol  and we brought some paracetemol as he was complaining of back pain yesterday  - so not sure when he actually had the fall - so difficult to get the correct story. But the staff seem to have everything in hand.  Tried to get him to put the phone near to his chair so he can hear it when we call - will try tomorrow.

In other news - today was the day that Trump posted that he and the first lady had proved positive for Covid! It is a sign of the times that social media immediately started speculating that this was just a ploy to avoid another presidential debate / was to put off the election / was to get sympathy vote /

Biden quoted as furious that no-one mentioned to them - that they found out by tweet - when they had shared the stage at the debate.
Things are likely to get stranger before they get better - "May you live in interesting times!"

In other images with Halloween coming up.. More shut-down images...

Susie got her fishing rod today - though sadly her deep sea fishing trip for Sunday has been cancelled. She will have to catch dinner in the river instead,

Meanwhile - the "R" rate hits 1.6, Scottish MP tests rather than isolates and takes train down to House of Commons for debate where she speaks and then gets positive result and trains back to Glasgow. How can they expect people to take them seriously. Worse than Cummins!

Still not in lock-down - but counting the days. Think we will get to the stage where there will not be a national lock-down but all areas of the country will be in isolation.

Stay safe out there ..

And in last news - Susie gets in on the act with Hero Forge..

Cheers !
