18th October 2020 - Sunday - Sanitiser and More Cowbell

Thought for the day :"The bayeaux tapestry is not historically accurate – the story has been embroidered"

Sunday - day of rest.. sort of . Well the Chiropractor said to take it easy for the whole weekend so we decided to follow yesterday's lack of activity - sort of!

So, to start with the Peacocks News Shrine (I call it a shrine as it now reminds me of the shrines in Austria that used to be along the footpaths and roads - and so that is what it will be now)
I thought it was finished and then found that I could add a little "victor" Circle of wood - with a precision triangle of wood behind, which can hold the new Logo for Ffynnon Wen, one which I created to put on the front door (see below)

But most of the day for me was painting - okay - I accept that a lot of it went onto me and my trousers - which are now my working trousers as they cannot be used for anything else now  - but the back gate ..

The front Gate (well the back of it as I did then front yesterday)

The Main Door Sign (note the Fffynnon Logo Sign)

And the sides as well

The letter Box..

Meanwhile - Susie has also been busy - bottling the Ffynnon Rose... a few demijohns to keep us going (by us I mainly mean me)

And in the gardens she has been out with her pruners on the Apple and Fruit Trees

Note the neatly trimmed Box Hedges - may have had some part in that ...

A proud Susie in her natural habitat

And then back to getting Halloween together - the front and the Wobblies (Thank you Chrissie - they still have a purpose even if they are banned from inside the house..)

Tried to video to get the nodding - but camera was out of space - maybe tomorrow

And in other news - the next bit of Hand Sanitiser is now ready - Ffynnon Wen Juniper Hand Sanitiser - a rather nice flavour - apparently it is called "Blue Jewel" (tastes a bit like Sapphire Blue - strange that !!) with a hint of apple ... Sadly found out that the local Brynhoffnant Shop charges £2.25 a bottle for Schweppes (£2.75 for smaller bottle of Fever Tree). may have to stock up from ASDA - however much I like supporting local businesses. But was nice as an aperitif - on the hands of course!

Cheers !

and if you don't know the reference then watch this .. (christopher Walken)
