13th October 2020 - Rain in Wales? Never!! And Re-Training

Thought for the day:"The main cause of injury in the old is the belief that you are still young"

Turned out to be a little wet this morning ...

and more..

However - later the sun came out and it was quite warm...
Small panic as we found that the local shop that arranges the delivery of the TV Choice magazine to Vic  (on which he depends for many reasons - not just TV) was not being made. Trip to Newcastle Emlyn and then to Brynhoffnant finally found a copy of this week's issue and a trip to Llanybydder to put his mind at rest ...
Also he managed to keep the phone by his side and answered a call today - so that is a step forward though I think that his ears need syringing as his deafness is getting quite extreme.

But the sun meant that another couple of box hedges were cut back, Susie put in her onions, I chopped some more logs for the future storage and gave 'Thena a quick walk up the lane.
All in all a successful day ...

In the wider world - it appears that a Government Advert ( which was not released by the Government obviously - but by a third party!!) showing Fatima needing to change her job and requires retraining ...

So,it now appears that this was taken from a photograph posted on Instagram

So the photo was stolen from a  photographer (Krys Alex) who was advertising the opening of her brother's studio - photo used without her permission or knowledge
Also Photo-shopped for maximum effect - Model not consulted nor permission sought.
"Fatima" ( not her real name) but recognisable in the photo is receiving bad responses from public and friends.

Also has led to a series of memes - some of which I will share here

So, there is a government site where you can check what you are best suited for in your retraining..
I took the test and kit came back that I ought to be an actor - or failing that - some other occupation in the entertainment and hospitality sector...
that will be a strain to try to adapt to ...

Cheers!
