Thought for the day :"Mansplaining is correctile dysfunction"
Woke up and the sun was shining . October 14th and I had my shirt off in the garden - and mended some hoses, tried to fix a power washer that would not fix, but managed to get the Karcher working so washed both cars. Had to change all the hose connections to do it - some of them were too old and kept springing off. Sorted the walk back and forth to the tap by getting Susie at the other end to do the tap for me by calling her on the radios. Changed the Duck water, cut some hedges and chopped some firewood for storage.
Susie cleared the back area by the kitchen and sorted out the shelves - a job we had been putting off.
Planted a pear tree and a quince.
Grass still needs cutting but it is so wet that there is no chance.
Heat lamp arrived for the Eating Chicks - so we can fix that tomorrow.
House very warm - seem to have got the hang of keeping fires running though to be fair it was very warm outside today.
But I am in my shirt sleeves again - and feeling comfortable - so all good so far.
Looking for a fire wood supplier tomorrow - we are playing a lottery withe the wood we have at the moment - no idea how long it has been drying - and some logs give us a far better heat than others.
Seems that the Spitting image links do not work in USA - they must be blocking them as well.
So I shall just have to download and try to re-post - see how it goes...
In other news - the Drone eating Tree is beginning to lose some leaves and we caught sight of the drone today - but failed to reach it....
Personally - I think that all Americans should be able to watch satire... but that is just a personal view.
Watching News at Ten - but not sure that there is anything more to comment on today - more depressing actions leading to full shut-down and a probable "Circuit Breaker" full shut-down - not really affecting us - live is going on here - but it seems to be most of Europe as well as us. - And the US is still in denial.
News in that Wales has agreed to stop people travelling into Wales from the higher infectious areas in England - something that Boris has refused to agree to - but Wales has its own travel ban now. Ban to be started at 6pm on Friday for Tier 2 and 3 areas in England. And how are they going to police it?

But we are not alone - Paris and 8 other French cities now have a curfew from 9pm to 6am!!
And so - today the "wash" was completed and is now clearing. Looks like tomorrow will be our first day creating Ffynnon Wen Scottish Hand Sanitiser... Looking forward to the experiment.
