19th April 2022 - Out with the Paint Brush and a touch of damp

Thought for the day :"If we are not meant to have midnight snacks why is there a light in the fridge?"

Apparently it rained hard this morning - I slept through it ..  It is a gift !

By the time I stirred (about 10am - nothing too extreme) it was quite bright and the rest of the day has been pretty warm and reasonable.

However - we had a bit of a leak or condensation in the yurt - which left a small wet patch on the ground.

Took the ladder down and could find no holes or places to let the water in - but there was a distinct damp patch on the ground ... The Crown was certainly wet on the inside but still thinking it might have been condensation.

In other news..

Time to get the paint brush out - I started the herb patch yesterday but it needed finishing today and it is quite laborious doing wicket fences as they are so fiddly. 

But we got there and rebuilt.

Then it was on to the windowsills of the main house which were in poor colour. But I had found some masonry paint in brilliant white so with the assistance of the ladder they were completed.

In other news, a gift from Cat - so we now have a new Piano Tuna
