8th April 2022 - The Giraffes look small - That is because they are far away

Thought for the day :"There are pro's and con's to being married. On the one hand, you get to wear a cool ring... But on the other hand, you don't!! "

Said Goodbye to Sheila and tony this morning after a hearty breakfast of home made bread and our own scrambled eggs...

But that meant that we were up early - and it was too early to go back to bed !!!

So it was back into the Lower Quarter, though Malcolm and Bill, our local walkers were passing so I took them in to see the progress - they had not been here since the party last July 11th and a lot has changed in that time.

And then it was time to clear another section - and I managed to get to the next fallen tree. And I am in sight of the Flags and the new pathway is snaking down into the area. Certainly will be enough are for some tents if the ground will dry enough - if not then there will be room for another yurt should we wish.
All plans for the future will depend on how much it is able to dry out now there is no overgrowth and undergrowth.

Pictures of today's work.... from both ends today ...

It is very deceptive as it feels that I have made no progress - and then today I looked back to where the Giraffes are standing and realised how small they look - and that is because they are a long way away - and that means that I have cleared quite a large area.
