Thought for the day :"Doctor told me I have to go into hospital to have an operation on my knees. Why can’t I walk like everyone else?"
Expecting another rainy day with Storm Christoph - but woke up late (Susie let the Chickens out this morning and I managed to sleep in - shock horror!)
Took a walk around the Donkey Trail with 'Thena ....
The sun was shining - and it was not too cold - thought eh water level was still high - Susie took to the Troll Bridge Pond - and I had a look at the drainage pipe into the Chicken / Duck fields and the area which was filling with water - a place that we think should be a pond for the ducks in the future...
But first - the Troll Bridge...

Susie has cleared the path down to the lower path |
The waterfall from the pathway |

The Pathway |

Following the steps |
More steps |
The start of the pathway |
Clearing the Troll Bridge Pond dug back to the stone edging Lots of mud to be cleared from the water (Susie in her favourite pastime - Gardening and Playing with damns!) |
The main spring is very muddy today water coming from everywhere and not just the natural spring |
The lower Quarter |
The drainage pipe into a stream |
My supervisor |
The "before Picture" - a soggy ground area |
A seepage of water from the drains |
There is a lot of water flowing into the area |
A lot of wood to be still taken away (taking an armful a trip) but also the stream of drain water |
And a pond shape dug out and filling up quickly |
Will probably need more rocks and stones to form a bank and may use a pond liner later but certainly a pond for future use..

The Troll Bridge / Waterfall
The Troll Pond...
And today I feel quite content with not including any politics into my Blog..
So Cheers !
