23rd April 2014 - Home Alone Diaries - Day 2

Thought for the day: "Alcohol does not solve any problems - but then again - neither does milk"

Busy day today - early start and trip to Bridgend ...a nice dinner and a lift there and back...
Meanwhile I hear that the family has made it to Crete - with what complications or otherwise I have no idea, only the news of a safe arrival - almost like times gone by... before new tech and fancy phones...

Today has birthday's for a number of people - but Big Benjii is one who deserves special notice ... In fairness to Ben and Bex they gave us at least two year's notice of their intention to get married - in our new Tavern , in our new farm - where ever it was - whenever it was - but at least by September 2014...

Unfortunately, we are 6 months on the market. the News services tell us that house prices are rising - sales are up- thought his seems to be mainly in the new housing market for Wales...  Our own experience is one viewer - who may well be interested but cannot sell their own property and that is it in 6 months !!!

Without sale of the house I have no chance of bidding on other properties and we have now taken the house off the market while I re-think the options..

And Susie manages the plotment while we look for bigger and greater things...

But at the moment we are stuck with 4 chickens laying in the back garden

However, in the basement there are 18 eggs in the incubator - all eaters I understand .. but they are swaying back and forward well...  A quiet day for me..
Maybe a glass of port and a small scotch - or two ...
