5th October 2023 - Around the Homestead

Thought for the day :"I can’t count how many times I failed maths at school"

A busy day today - though the weather is still not being kind enough to cut the lawns...

Cool enough to light the fire in the living room - though in fact we had to do this as Susie has replaced the rope seal which had perished over the spring and summer - all working very well - and Toby seems to approve.

In other news, Susie also got out to plant her heuchera plants by the springs ...

Still quite a lot of colour in the garden - dahlias flourishing..

And there are so many berries on the hawthorn - suggests a hard winter ..

Grass really needs cutting but the beds still are flowering...

And in the Eastern corner - we can see what Susie does with her air gun when she doesn't find a rat to shoot at ...

And the new peacock feeder is working well - rats don't seem to be able to get in ..

and one single rose !

Cheers !
