3rd October 2023 - New Phone - Old Tractor

Thought for the day :"Just burned 2,000 calories. That’s the last time I leave a cake in the oven while I nap."

Trip to Cardigan to take the kegs back to the Brewery - who apologetically point out that they may have marked up a Rock Steady keg as Cwrw Teifi - which accounts for the dark ale being the same colour as the light ale .. Never mind - it sold the same ..

Back via Tescos for a few items and sadly had damaged my phone when I went to get the composts on the 30th and hadn't noticed. There is no speaker and no sound on the phone - which I discovered when I found that I could access the answer phone but not hear anything !!

It is possibly reparable - but we have had it since before we moved and for £65 I could get a newer version and and better camera / phone.

Was pleasantly surprised that by logging onto my google account - everything other than the ring tone (and a Green One) and the alarm (bird call from Leek Scout Camp) transferred without problem. event he last two files went across by Blue tooth  in a manner that even I could understand...

And so - need a case for the phone - it is a little larger than the old one - so Prime came to the rescue and should be with me tomorrow .

On the way home - popped in to Tremain - Glan Thomas to check on the John Deere - and found it was ready. Picked up the trailer from Sarah and collected it and  delivered the trailer back. Grass certainly needs it - and sun today and possible a couple of days of dry so may be able to attack the lawns.

And while I was at it - took the 9 bags of compost to the Polytunnel - need to go for more again tomorrow. Could be at least another two journeys. Wet compost is VERY heavy !!!

In other news - the new flags arrived - decided on 3ft x 2ft for the future - will change the Giraldus in due course. But for now we have a new Ukraine Flag and a New Pride Flag ...

Susie decided to attack the undergrowth where the old Gas Canisters used to stand - we think that the undergrowth and the stacked soil on the ground is giving us dampness in the living room - partly because we have not had a fire yet - so no chance to dry from the inside ..

Notified that Hoffnant Limeworks can't do our work - so sent some photos and details to RTS Lime works in Cardigan - to get a quote for stripping the cladding and replacing with lime.
Rory is on holiday for a week so will not get an answer for a few days.

And so - another day - and life goes on

Cheers
