With Facebook having a 10th Anniversary yesterday, I asked the question how far have we come in our media and advertising...  Today I found a few advertisements from days gone by - mainly from the 1940's onwards...  However, they clearly show how far standards and attitudes have changed in the intervening period.

Some of these are offensive to modern eyes, racist and sexist and some are just in bad taste..
Yes - I think we have moved forward.. There will be those who may agree with some..

I make no further comment - I only repeat here for historical record....  But think on these....
