16th March 2025 - Monthly Update - and the Sun is out

Thought for the day :"I once had a teacher with a lazy eye. She couldn’t control her pupils."

Pinned Post - 16th March 2025
Back to normalcy and back to work - Sunday means little while the weather is holding.

So, we are into the third month of the year and time is ticking towards our first major gathering for the year - indeed since we moved here. In a month we will have 18 Belgians visiting us and 16 staying at Ffynnon Wen itself. We have been working towards this for over 6 months and Storm Darragh and the following bad weather have changed our schedules completely. The house is not yet completed with the pine end still needing to have the final render put on it - and painted.  Also a lot of clearing once all the major work is finished.

But with the impending visit. the priorities now move to the camping areas, and to getting the shower block and shelters started and finished.

Also clearing the wood remains a high priority and bonfires are a daily issue.

Decision made to open the Tavern for Easter even thought we have the guests - we think that they will enjoy having locals with us on the Friday, and probably a private party for the Saturday night so those who wish to retire early can do so before  an 8am start home.

But today has been a sunny day and bonfires.
Springs are getting cleared.

Cheers
