12th December 2023 - Red Cross Meeting

Thought for the day :". I don't mean to interrupt people. I just randomly remember things and get really excited."

Back to another order today as I attended Rec Cross of Constantine meeting in Carmarthen for a two candidate meeting which went very well .
Dinner in the Ivy Bush Hotel has now gone up to £18.50 and £4.90 a pint of Lager.
Was tempted by a bottle of win - part to drink there and the rest to bring home but the £6 bottle that I can buy in Brynhoffant  (not the cheapest place to buy) was £23.50 !!!
Decided on  a glass of water which was at least free!!

Last Founder of the Conclave in attendance - time moves on ...

Dogs very good - had to feed them at a quarter to five and then they stayed in until I got home at 10pm.

Pretty foul weather for the night time journey and a nasty rattle / knock in the back of the Volvo. Sadly will have to wait until Susie is back to try to identify where it is coming from. Sound like part of the roof mechanism has come loose. Does not appear to be anything mechanical for the car itself.

Sadly, Nancy tried to get her windscreen fixed but they are fully booked up until 2nd January for a site visit. She could take it to the Hub in Swansea but that is not free until the 3rd January. That is a bit of a blow as they wanted to clear the house over Christmas holiday.

No fire tonight as the chimney sweep comes tomorrow - but in fairness the Oodie that I have inherited from Susie is keeping me quite warm here at the computer..

IN news from America - Bonnie has been brought down from the attic and it looks as though we will be able to ship her home ...

Cheers !
