Thought for the day :"The colour green is so notoriously single because it is always so jaded."
Lazy day ..
Managed to get the chain saw working and cut up the branch that had fallen on the canvas storage in the lower quarter.
Managed to cut the branches and rebuilt the shelter and replaced the roofing sections - will need to get some gaffer tape onto the holes tomorrow but the main part of the work is done .
In other news - popped up to find what progress had been made on Nancy's transporter, bearing replaced but windscreen not at all well
Apparently can be fixed on Tuesday so they will have the vehicle ready in time to get back to Aylesbury for Christmas
Other than that - it has been a chilling day ..
In other news : Mary Jones ar y Bible
Interesting that this book which I have discarded is worth £27 now and the welsh version I cannot find at all in the same edition
In 1800, at the age of 15, Mary Jones (16th December 1784 – 28th December 1864) from Llanfihangel-y-Pennant, walked for 25 miles, barefoot, over rugged land and mountains to purchase a Bible in Bala..
One of the only people in North Wales, who had copies of the bible at that time, was the Calvinistic Methodist clergyman Thomas Charles from Bala, so Mary set out on the 25 miles walk to get one. However, on her arrival, she discovered that Charles had sold out of the copies he had, but impressed with her determination, he found somewhere for her stay for the two days, before new supplies arrived, and then sold her three copies for the price of one.
I recall my own version of this in Welsh and English..
The only one I can find in Welsh is this one
Cheers !
