Thought for the day :"Police have arrested the World Tongue Twister champion. I expect that they will give him a long sentence."
Busy day. Started early as we needed to get a head start. Did some painting before breakfast - getting signs ready - needed another coast of paint. Susie did sterling work clearing and cleaning the Tavern.
I had to build the stand for the stillages and make room for the Ciders. Cleared some shelves for the glassware. We have 6 jugs for 4 pint servings. These will not need govt stamped pint glasses - so we have to keep those that we have available for use.
Managed to order the float for the bar. But had to go to Carmarthen to collect. That took a couple of hours out of the day. Got back and found that the John Deer was fixed and ready for collection - which meant borrowing a trailer form Charlie again and that lost me another hour collecting. Eye-watering cost - but asked for the breakdown and it appears that the cambelt and bearing that was replaced came to over £112 itself and they re-sealed the tyre that was leaking air. But it should hold up now - fingers crossed!
So when I got back I started strimming the pathways and finished though it was getting late.
Sadly did not get the brushcutter down to the island and lower quarter. Well I said that the gardens were a work in progress!
