11th June 2022 - Clearing the lower Quarter - Again !!!

Thought for the day: "Apparently, tyres are so expensive as a result of inflation"

So, today we went to the Community Cafe in the Village Hall and had a bacon roll and a cup of tea and Susie won the raffle again - I suppose it is right - we spend £5 on tickets rather than the one or two that everyone else seems to do - that is years of Rotary / Inner Wheel / Masons, but it means that I got another cheap bottle of red plonk.

Sadly, as we parked we saw that we are losing oil in a big way from the sump of the Landie.
Hoping that local mechanic Tom can look at it tomorrow for us ... fingers crossed. Susie needs to be at Newport for scan on Thursday.

So when we got back I got the strimmer to and did the edges to the lawns, and then got the brushcutter out and started on the paths, the Chinese section and the Island. Need to go over them again tomorrow and also get down to the lower quarter and start on that

Have to get on with it early as we are expecting Allie tomorrow and Al and Helen on Monday.
They will be sleeping in the Yurt so we are getting the last bits together.

Looks like this will be where the money is going

Thought this was a laugh...

Photos from the event.

Cheers !
