9th October 2019 - Communication and Bothy Rides again

Thought for the day :"Saw a sign saying “Duck, Eggs”. I thought “that was an unnecessary comma” then it hit me"

Fun fact: 'Get Brexit done' is an anagram of 'Being extorted'

Seems Legit - just saying ...

In other news ... I saw this little story about Heavily Labour constituency Hull

On the subject of Communication - there was this to consider...

A sweet grandmother telephoned St. Joseph's Hospital. She timidly asked, "Is it possible to speak to someone who can tell me how a patient is doing?"

The operator said, "I'll be glad to help, dear. What's the name and room number of the patient?"

The grandmother in her weak, tremulous voice said, Norma Findlay, Room 302."
The operator replied, "Let me put you on hold while I check with the nurse's station for that room."

After a few minutes, the operator returned to the phone and said,
"I have good news. Her nurse just told me that Norma is doing well. Her
blood pressure is fine; her blood work just came back normal and her
Physician, Dr. Cohen, has scheduled her to be discharged tomorrow."
The grandmother said, "Thank you. That's wonderful. I was so worried. God bless you for the good News."

The operator replied, "You're more than welcome. Is Norma your daughter?"

The grandmother said, "No, I'm Norma Findlay in Room 302. No one tells me shit."

TRUE STORY (allegedly)

And so the Bothy rises again ....

I am pleased to announce that the Bothy has risen from the ashes of disaster. My trip back from West Houghton was frought with problems - a nasty banging on the front axle and the firm belief that I was not going to get home
without the assistance of the RAC... Struggling into the home stretch, the noise from the front wheel was deafening ... Having spent a couple of weeks in Bothy Hospital (and being informed that as she was driven onto the ramp the front wheel came off in the mechanic's hands !!!) She is now back on the road and ready for the next Challenge ..
Can YOU spot her on the road ??
Remember.. a bottle of mead for anyone who gets a photograph in transit - not at home or final location - but " on the road".. And if you are really unlucky you may get a free CD as well!!

Currently - this should take me to 6,876 miles..
I will have to confess to being caught by Henning with the speed camera shots - will do that on my return
I think

So ... Cheers !
