1st September 2013 - Of Castles and Chaos

So, as we start a new month, it seems appropriate to progress a step through the alphabet and so we start September with the Letter "C"...

I can see that this may turn into a mini version of QI, and find an elephant in the room before I finish.

But in the meantime, a weekend of visits through the castles of West Wales. Starting with Weobley Castle, and then through Llanthony Priory and more lately Cilgerran and Pentre Ifan.

I have my mother to thank for the decision to take a couple of "Wobblies" and photograph them at Weobley Castle.  So, Mr Pumpkin Head and his good lady, a Green One,  took a few tentative steps through the castle...

Of course, when you are only a little Wobbley..  the size of a castle is a little daunting...

But the Castle is quite a friendly place as well - and good for exploring...

Looking into the nooks and crevices, there are many opportunities to explore through the history of the Gower and Wales.....

And sometimes there are times when there is good cause for reflection  (see what I did there !!!)

And so we can leave Weobley Castle to the natives ...  and to our friends the Colonials ..
Did I introduce them ??
For the sake of argument I am calling them Mr Pumpkin Head and the Green One ...

No!! not them ...

THEM!!!!

Maybe a glass of wine.....
