Rained
Sadly lost Brownie our Brown Chicken last night .
We chased her for half an hour to put her to bed but she would not be caught to go to bed early and we hoped that she would survive until we got home and 10pm - sadly no sign..
More sad news, Ted and Toby were playing nicely on the lane and then charged down into the lower quarter and then disappeared!! Totally quiet. No sign and no recall !
At last I went back and searched around the duck house and found toby, very excited, in a horny way, and no sign of Ted. we went off down the lower quarter and searched Moilyn fields, and when I got back to teh duck house I could hear panting and Toby was not with me- turned out that Ted had Brahma our main brahma chicken under the chicken house and was mumbling her !!
Ned pulled Ted out and I nursed Bra back to the beer garden where she went into a box of straw to see if she could recover. We think that the crop may have been pierced in which case she will not be able to eat - but she is resting overnight - fingers crossed...
Something to think about when thinking about going out early or staying away ... We are losing a lot of birds at the moment for different reasons.
But four Peacock eggs in the incubator so we will keep our fingers crossed.
But it was a Sunday Horse visiting day ..

And it seems that Torren has been a busy Boy and completed the construction already
Took a trip to Brynhoffnant and Tanygroes for a little shopping with Chrissie ...
Booked a sea trip on Tuesday and heading for Aberystwyth tomorrow
We shall see how they go ...
Started raining and lost the incentive to do some work on the wood shed.
May be later in the week
