12th June 2024 - On to the Island and Vetting

Thought for the day :"The local duck feather measuring company is down sizing."

Mainly Dry today but cold

House looking good in the sun 

But today's main task was to get onto the island and start attacking that 

and the after pictures (ran out of charge so have to finish another day)

'Thena managed to cut her back leg badly in the walk - didn't see it straight away but found the blood on the carpets, and found a nasty would with bright red blood suggesting close to an artery.

Vet job for emergency stapling and anti-biotics. Sadly Landie would not start again so had to try to lift her into the Volvo which was an experience. Got the vet and found that we had no lead so had to use a tow rope!! 

Landie started later - of course - fiddled with the main cables on the battery and it came to life - hopeful for tomorrow so that I can take the landie to Nancy to collect the Vectra to get the Americans from Heathrow.  Decided to break the journey with Rob (the Mayor) Comber.

Found that a crochet hook works well to get the grass and oomshka out of the strimmer drum, when it slows down.
