14th June 2024 - Eagle has Landed

Thought for the day :"Chippenham. So called because no cafes there serve fried eggs."

Rain - definitely rain - yesterday was biblical and today was just Wales 

And the Eagle has landed - Chrissie and Paul are with us 

Slightly frenetic arrival - teh luggage system failed and we were all internally blaming "Bonnie" the Deer Head that Susie and I Bought some 25 years ago in the mistaken belief that it would be easy to ship it t the UK  - finally, stars of the day  ( the loons) Chrissie and Paul brought it as their additional baggage because they paid extra to be economy plus or something - which allowed an extra suitcase - or box!!!

Will get to the full story when we do the great unpack tomorrow 

But in the meantime it is Pizza Thursday on Friday after a long trek (M4 blocked so we did the better scenic route over Brecon) and bed for our weary travellers ... Sleep well

Bonnie in her box in the back of the car - we really needed the space in the Vectra !! Couldn't have managed with our other vehicles !!!

And Susie is shivering in the kitchen 

June ?  nah - it is just the 175th of January!!
