27th October 2022 - "A" Party - Farewell to Allie

Thought for the day :"I lost my job at the M'n'Ms factory as a quality assessment inspector... I kept throwing away all the W's"

Funeral for Allie today  - and a wonderful  eulogy by Tom and a great day

26th October 2022 - Exmouth

Thought for the day :" Sometimes I lie in bed with nothing to worry about - that worries me!"

So, Wednesday finds us in Exmouth ready for the funeral of Ally tomorrow. 

We are in a reasonable (though as trip advisor says "slightly tired") hotel at the foot of foxholes
the Devoncourt Resort  

But it has a (not quite a ) power shower and a little kitchenette to make tea and stuff.

Aiming to go out to dinner tonight with Rob and have a relatively early night .

It seems that there is an exit at the bottom of the gardens that leads to the bottom of Foxholes so we may well be able to walk from the house tomorrow.

We shall see...

Being grateful to Jimmy Shore for looking after the dogs and birds while we are away.

Makes a huge difference - he won't read this but thank you anyway !!

25th October 2022 - Clearing the Detritis

And so th tools are set out - and the trees need to be chopped and cleared...

And the result - a woodpyre for the future  (When it has dried out !!)

Future wood store - but at least the path is clear...
