11th June 2026 - And Eurotunnel Booked

Thought for the day :"Last night I had a pillow fight using my memory foam pillow. That was a beating I will never forget."

So - overnight I booked the Eurotunnel - seems that a campervan goes cheaper than a van the same size

Managed  vouchers for £170 giving £340 of the £369 cost of the trip across the channel.

So not so bad - as we would not have done much with those vouchers in reality.

Meanwhile - it was raining and the tools were all over the Beer Garden, so decided that it was time to clear the machine shed once and for all - it was full of cardboard set for future bonfires, but today was a good option for using the firepit ..   but there was a lot of mess

Meanwhile, when it gets to near to 6pm, Tilly just sits and watches the radio waiting for the bongs ..

nearly there !

But Susie has finished her willow fence and the first of the dahlias are in place 

the rest to follow tomorrow 

And Tesco arrived with the stock for the weekend, well this weekend and hopefully next as well

And Straw ready to go down to the Peacock enclosure 

Cat had chopped a lot of kindling - so it needed to be moved from the Beer Garden to the Wood Shed

10th June 2026 - And A gents Loo

Though dry enough to finish putting the posts in for the Peacock enclosure. 

The new Gents Loo built and ready in a day - well done Chris - two days work like this is killing me !

So, from Compost section...

to strimmed pathway 

to Gents Loo for those who must go 

Meanwhile, Susie need to protect her Dahlias and her Chrysanthemums from marauding hounds..

so a neat woven willow fence is put in place ..

 

Will move the pots into place to morrow 

Too tired to put the tools away - gonna rain overnight so everything is under cover ..

Think that will do for one day 

Bottle of Blush today I think - a nice light finish to the day
