Thought for the day :"Sign language is the least spoken language in the world"
Landie not well so I spent a morning hoping to get local enthusiast to answer his phone - may have the wrong number - but we are booked into the local Garage (Wyn the Garage) on Wednesday - hoping we get a quick fix as we are a little isolated without a vehicle. Seems we are going back to the old days !
But Susie had an adventure and took the twice weekly bus to Newcastle Emlyn. Seems her bus pass is out of date but the driver accepted her anyway and she toddled off to NE to get her meds from the Pharmacy .
While there I had the great idea that we could hire a car from the car hire place in NE - and was only to be disappointed when we found that they only have one car and it is not due back until Saturday..
Apparently the nearest place is Cardigan but they are short on vehicles as well, and not sure what busses we would have to take to get there !! Sadly the down side of living out here in glorious isolation!
But back on the homestead it was time to try to clear the log pile that resulted from taking down the tree after Storm Arwyn. Made a start. Found that the Chain Saw does not really get through the trunks - so may have to investigate a sharpener for the saw......
But found that the big pneumatic log splitter actually attacks logs even of this size.
So a day of loading barrows and chopping logs...
Also decided that I would build the other two Beer Garden Tables ready for the weekend. Stupidly I thought that they would stack.. of course they were never designed for that. But at this time of year it is important to keep the water off them - so had to put them into two piles and cover with tarpaulin.

Took down the beds in the Tavern - ready to put up again if they are needed but nice to have a Tavern fit for visits ...
Got a tracker for Thena - one of the GPS ones that will say if she has escaped the garden area and tell us where she is - we hope... So far is charging but not convinced that it will be particularly accurate . Also a little worried that they cannot find a signal here - but we shall see.
Cheers !
