Yay!! Landie is back and it seems that it was a dirty fuel problem.
Apparently the fuel filter was clogged so badly that it was a miracle that any fuel was getting through at all!
Worked it out and it makes some sort of sense.. The Vehicle had been laid up for three years and not on the road.
There is no doubt in my mind that a new fuel filter would have been fitted by Paul, but it only had £5 of diesel in it when he was rebuilding the engine and getting it all working.
When we bought - I put in £20 to get us up to Rhydlewis.
When it was getting low I filled up to the top.
Probably the fuel tank was full of crud that did not budge until the tank was full and being jiggled around - because - let's be fair - we get a little jiggled int he vehicle now!
So 100 miles later and the fuel has been well mixed and is just solid muck trying to go through the carburettor...
So a flush out - throw the old diesel, £30 of new diesel - and we seem to be back to working properly!!!
Was short of time so decided to move the box trailer up to Trefor and Carrie as they have agreed to have it for the weekend .. Was pleased that I was able to reverse with no corrections - first time I have tried with the Landrover....
And so the forefront is clear and an option to take photos of the current set up - including the installation of the piggies...
In other news...
got an email response form the Tractive people this evening - re the tracker for Thena - stating that they accept that they could not do the proper job with the network available here.
And delighted to say that they unprompted cancelled the subscription and refunded the money to paypal without a bleat...
So now will have to get the tracker back to amazon - should be simple enough under the circumstances... Have until March to send back and luckily I kept the packaging.
Sad really as when it was working it would have been perfect for what we wanted.
Will look at some other types in case some can work in this area...

In other news...
Susie booked an apartment and flights for a trip to Crete in September. Will be accompanied by Rob and Allie.. Found a new place - just opposite to Eliza where we have stayed before but which has gone stupidly expensive. Cabbana - This looks nice as well - no swimming pool - we will have to find other bathing options but it is still near to Bunnie...
And so we are ready for guests tomorrow .. Looking forward to it
