13th November 2019 - Bumbling around

Thought for the day :"If the world were a logical place, men would ride horses sidesaddle."

And today's Video from the Pre Event Party is our LARP version of Strictly Come Dancing, "Strictly Mitraspera" with some dancing out front while the band play...

So, over slept this morning, rising at 8am instead of 7.30.  Am not using an alarm or anything but hoping to keep on Crete time - but the light is not that bright in the morning, so slept on this morning.
But up and setting up tables in local hotel, the Diplomat, for the Choir Charity Craft Event. Have unloaded the trailer to collect additional tables but looks as though they will not be needed now - so will not have collect them tomorrow. Needed to empty the trailer sometime anyway - it was full and badly stacked and I had no idea what was really in there. Still looking for my LED lights - cannot find them anywhere - beginning to think that I must have taken them to the tavern at Renewal and left them behind.

Connected the Bothy up and set the battery on Charge - a few weeks in Crete and the damp have drained the battery. Normally disconnect it these days - but forgot - but will be ready later today and I can go and find an oil heater to take the edge off the inside before using it over the weekend.

Enjoyable evening in Sincerity Lodge in Swansea last night - int he small temple - only about 27 of us, but an old police colleague was going back into the Chair, so I agreed to respond for the visitors and regaled them with the tales of the old days ......  Also sang the Master's Song, but sadly the pianist did not have the music and got the middle piece wrong !! Was not a good sound!!!

Still - an interesting evening - and on Water !!!  A couple of days into my "Dry" now.. Also skipped the bread and the potatoes - the latter being quite tough as there were lots of really nice looking Roasties - and the pudding looked a little heavy as well so was skipped - Ho Hum !!!

Will try the weight think in a couple of days and hope that it inspires me to carry on !!!

Had a swim yesterday and surprised myself by managing 6 lengths - I have never been a great swimmer.... Normally got up to 4 or 5 - must be the extra ballast at the moment !!

Local Authority have reduced the over 60's swim sessions down to Tuesday and Wednesday at lunchtime - will have to get up at 7am if I want to swim on a MOnday or Thursday.. not likely really - but will go again today !!

Right - looking at a lot of paperwork before I can get on with some real things...

Cheers !
