19th August 2012 - An unexpected day at home...

Looking at the weather as the rain hammered against the window pane this morning, and following the weather reports later on the TV - it seems that we may have made an excellent choice in deciding to leave Scolton Manor last night. While the BBC and the reporters in the south east are moaning that it is the hottest day of the year - we are under a band of torrential rain.

However - it is Sunday and that means that the van can park outside the house on the single yellow line and so it is full of "stuff" and I can get around to emptying it as the rain stops.
It is strangely full to the gunnel's - which is quite strange as it was half empty when we left yesterday morning - but that is planning and packing for you....

Posted the photos of the Welsh Horse, and suddenly find out that almost everyone is local. Have had a load of photos tagged by a "Friend of a Friend" - turns out to be boyfriend of one of the riders, who has worked in the Sports shop and tells me that he has made some of our T Shirts !!
Small World...
Lovely shots of Rusty and some random children....

and of course
Farmer Jesse himself....  with Doris

Managed to sleep in until 11am despite the rain and have uploaded a few photos...
Best go and have some brunch - can't call it breakfast at this time.. Think that Scarmbled Egg on Toast is called for....

Ta Ta Tiffin at the Tavern seems to be keeping very popular. 200 have said they will be attending - well it is just up the path for them if they are on site...  but still touched by some of the comments.

So when it comes to the end if an era the is an event of such magnitude that it changes the world.

The meteor that killed the dinosaurs, the great fire of London, to name but two.

The disaster here is that mum and dad will not be running the moon but heading to a small norscan small holding that will involve sheep and a jersey cow called Florence.

I just wanted to wish you all the best and thank you for all the fun times I have had in the moon.

So post here your favourite moonie moments and share the best times in the moon.

Bubba da barman
Proud to be a moonie!!!

  • A sad sad day,

Mum and Dad (adopted). I just want to take this opportunity to say that I love you with all my heart.

For laughter, comfort, joy, singing, dry, warmth, companionship, friendship, food, Crabbies, Du duh-d d du der du, too many good times and a beautiful promise to my future.

Thankyou both for all of it, I'll be there. And I'll be drunk.

(I'm still not gonna join in with that "green" song)

An age comes to an end and the gods have rolled there dice...

I just want to say thank you for many happy hours of pleasure, drink and protection from those nasty gribblys that got bump in the night!

Two of my favorite personal experience from the Crimson Moon are when the those saucy wenches persuaded me to buy a babycham & brandy mix! To this day I still do not regret it! ;-) MY second is when I had Vollsanger sing one of my favourite songs at me, Do Virgins Taste Better and oh how I enjoyed every second of it though I though he was insinuating something... XD

But I just want to thank you yet again for everything you have done for the larp community and I hope the future brings you all the best! =D

End of the day ..  House Painted and they did a nice job - coming back tomorrow to wash the gutters and clean the windows which wasn't really part of the deal but is part of the service .

Trailer loaded. Van Loaded . Just the Kitchen and travelling stuff to load tomorrow - so well ahead of schedule.  Seems the weather at Scolton improved my mid day - but not worried - was the right decision.
Took a lot longer to load this evening than expected - must be getting older !!!

So, the Welsh Horse seem to like their photos and are tagging each other ...
Ta Ta  Tiffin seems to be as popular as ever ....
Off on the road tomorrow      ....
Bottle of Red - Simply Cotes du Rhone - I know - it is french - but it was either that or the Meths
I will have a scotch to take the taste away later

just saw this one - so adding it ..
Its just wrong, I'm sure its not allowed that the crimson moon staff retire, what is a poor green one and the spirit of a green one going to do without the holy wolven bar that made us feel very welcome and a second home to us in times of need, and even wrote our song, missing a few small igni, insigni, a few little fiings of unimportance like trying to interveiw the blood queen to gett her piont of veiw on the war, to name a few others that mattered to reporters trying to make a living while on the front line of battle asking questions like' what are we doing hear again, this dosnt feel like a time ffor goblin heroics, how far is it to the crimson moon?'
But their was bloodsox and gruesum, and they made an awesum twosum, or better known as ' there was a green one and a green one and a ........... ( awesome song) now having had my goblin rant as my new rank as chief and the vioce of the mongol hord or at least some of them and herold of the steppe,,,,,, Please please sign my potition to stop such a bad thing happen, (on bended knee) dont leave us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(
