10th July 2021 - First Firepit

Thought for the day :"Our local pub has opened so I called in and had a ploughman's lunch... He was livid!"

Had a busy day. Strimmed around the garden, did my 5 a day of wheelbarrows on the lower quarter pathway. did some work in the Tavern.. Then guests for the evening and a firepit - first of the year, and playing guitars... excellent ..

So to start the day - also had a bonfire in the paddock - clearing some pallets and weeds that have been drying - mainly nettles and some cardboard boxes..

And then on to the walkway

Reached the lower spring now with the membrane and gravel almost to the end..

Meanwhile Susie was harvesting the Blackcurrants - a Kilo to make some Blackcurrent Cordial
(and a few left over for the peacocks..)

Sweet Peas are flowering well at the front door though the heritage ones on the patio have failed to flower - we have moved them further into the sunlight..

And Fairy Town is getting some colour

And then an evening on the veranda with the firepit... mead, cheese, olives, and guitars...

A late night - hope we did not disturb the Romany Caravan settlers too much!!

Cheers !
