8th January 2024 - Christmas Cactus

Thought for the day :"The only reason I tell bad jokes is because I want to be groan up"

Rain 6 : Dry 2
1st Bag of coal of the year (yes I am logging the amount used for monitoring purposes)

Another bright and very cold frosty day - and as I sit here writing at 11pm it has started snowing.

Walked the dogs and found a sheep in the first field - seems to be a stray. Also found myself 10 feet away from a fox but the dogs did not see it - when they came to the track they belted along the trail from which the fox had come - didn't see where it actually went. Not the most intelligent of animals!!

Meanwhile in the kitchen the Christmas Cactus has finally decided to flower..

 In other news:

"She was a crane operator on the docks in Tiger Bay. Back in the day of course."

Cheers!
