25th November 2021 - Happy Thanksgiving

Thought for the day :"Mount Rushmore – A rock group of four guys who can’t sing or play"

Long day today - and a successful one. Started breaking the pallets and removing nails and then got on with paneling the lower half of the back wall of the stage .. 

No pictures of the back wall yet, but as the rain started - I though it best to get the fairy lights in place - working from the single switch in the Tavern so can be worked later by a timer if necessary.

But got interrupted by a Jewson Lorry trying to get up the lane. Now our lane is pretty narrow and has a sign at the end saying "unsuitable for  long vehicles" and that is because you cannot get past Idris.

But the driver had got as far as the back door and decided to stop and ask where he was going - Trem Gawel - the house next to Trefor and Carrie with the horses.

Well - he decided to go on his break and set his Tachograph to resting and abandon the lorry - while I took him in the car to where he was trying to deliver and show him the right road to get there. Popped a cone up at the junction with Felin Ganol and parked my car at the Romany Caravan with a sign saying that the road was blocked.

In the end - we managed to reverse him back down the lane and on his way - but an adventure !!

In other news - saw these and thought they were funny..

Thought that they were worth sharing ...

Pip (Boss Lady) arrives this evening - so will leave it there..
