1st November 2021- Into November

Thought for the day :"In the Bronze Age, who came first and second?"

Susie still with Bad Back
So up to look after the puppy - free the Girlies and morning stuff...
Susie a lot better this evening after resting so all working in the right direction.

Tried a bit of branch trimming but then got caught in the rain so came back.

Also hit the Catch 22 of HSBC and banking ...

Trying to get away from being Treasurer, so friend put together a mandate changing the signatories. There were more than two signatories, so a full mandate was required - and therefore it did not really need my involvement. Turns our that the mandate was refused because the secretary did not sign the form - but 9 months later there was no news from HSBC and we were still in the same situation.
Add to this that HSBC then decide to do "due diligence" which is a check I understand to check that the purposes of the account are as stated. But as they sent letters to me and I sent them on unopened - I do not think anything was done about them.
So they decided to close the account on November 11th. Which is why people started panicking.
And so I made the calls to due diligence and passed the on line security fine - Q1 - is there a debit card. Q2 is there an overdraft . Q3  date of birth.
And get the detailos for the nominated person to answer the questions to be the new treasurer.
Job Done!
But I was then asked to see if I could find more about the missing mandate as I was the only one that was currently listed as a representative.
And so after another two hour wait for a reply ( they actually have a very good call back system so you don't have to wait on the phone!) We go through the security again..
Q1 - is there a debit card. Q2 is there an overdraft . Q3  how many other signatories
This last one is a bit of a puzzler - as I was sure that I was the only signatory left.
Which is what I said - and as a result the security check failed - and the account was locked against telephone banking - which means that we cannot talk to anyone about the account.

So, the way to get around this is to fill in a form on line and sign it and send it off.
Until you read page 6 and find that it needs to be counter-signed bu the Chairman or Secretary who is also a signatory.
So a trip to the HSBC in Cardigan and a very friendly teller who helps by finding the mandate, which is why I know that the Secretary did not sign the mandate.

But no help on the ruling - other than to confirm that there is only one signatory - so goodness knows why the security check failed - and not sure what happens when the form is received without an counter - signature.

We shall see!

Oh, and stopped on the pavement by a double yellow line to pick up my prescription. Appears it is a drop-kerb and two minutes later I have a fixed penalty. £70 (£35 if paid in 14 days). Expensive prescription - good thing that they are free here in Wales

And so - back to the homestead.

And though it is the end of October - the GREEN ONE OCTOBER

SWABIAN!!

In other news...

Always said that we thrown stuff out too early

Cheers !
